James Harris exemplifies the compassion and kindness that Covenant Living of Cromwell expects from every member of the staff. His record of maintenance work orders shows how many people request Jim when they need a repair or a driver. In addition to his gift for maintenance, for caring, for being with people, his passionate way of helping people goes beyond just being sympathetic. One snowy night, he got permission from the staff and drove 30 miles to New Haven to pick up a stranded resident who came in by train from Washington. Then he refilled the gas tank in the company vehicle to make sure the next driver would have enough gas to get home. Jim is a very positive person who wears a smile as he works throughout his day. He is always thinking of others and anticipating their need. He takes action to help, regardless of the problem and regardless of how large or small the problem is.
